Well, I think it's time to start dreaming again. I was only about 8 years old when Ronald Reagan was elected, but I wish we could go back to those times. This country had a sense of purpose, we had a sense of the American Dream and we had a sense of what was right with the government was less government. Now I feel like we are in a bad dream. The American Dream is being foreclosed on like many of our citizens homes, I feel like we are moving forward as a country without any purpose and the reach of government has increased to the point where it feels like Big Brother is sitting right next to us. So, what can we do!
I think the first thing to do today is to pray for our country. I firmly believe that the almighty is sitting and waiting for his people in this country to reach out to him for assistance. We simply cannot do this alone at this point and we need to look for guidance from above. Pray specifically for the country's leaders and pray that the people of America will send new representatives to Washington who hold true to our ideals as a nation and not to the idiot whacko's of the left-leaning politically-correct, progressive crowd. Pray that the people of American will actually take their responsibility to vote since most non-presidential elections generally only bring out about a 30% turnout. Pray that our country will develop a clear purpose in this world and pray that we will follow the purposes which are outlined in the Constitution.
The second thing I think we all need to do is print a copy of the United States Constitution (here is a link to a web site where you can actually read the entire text http://www.usconstitution.net/). I am amazed at how many people have never taken the time to read the entire constituition. It's a remarkable document and it's one that needs to be read routinely. Once you read it, think about how the current process of government is violating this document in so many ways. Just look at the preamble and think about how current events seem to be violating even the first few sentences. Print a copy to review, share it with others, read it to your children, and take it seriously.
Finally, if we truly want to see morning in America again, it's time to get to work putting the horrors and nightmare of today to bed. It's time to repeal the legislation which is taking away our rights, let's start with Obama Care and other recent legislation which is taking away our rights and threatening the prosperity of our children. You have to be willing to take a stand, make your voice heard, make your opinion heard at the ballot box, and be unwavering in your passion for the resurgence of this nation. It's time to wake up, stand up, and raise your voice. If we don't do it soon, it will be too late!
